Watercolour Fashion Illustration (NEW COURSE)
Course Description :
This is an integrated course including both the body and outfit course with 9 sessions of body figure drawing (how to draw a body in different poses, coloring, face and hairstyles) and outfit course (drawing outfits with different textures, materials) using watercolor technique.
The duration of the course is 9 weeks. Each Monday you you will receive thee video lesson and you have one week to practice and send your homework for correction.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is designed for those who have no experience in drawing and want to enhance their body drawing and outfit skills from scratch to advanced.
What this course includes?
BODY COURSE:
Session 1: Learning how to draw a body figure from scratch in front view with detailed proportions.
Session 2: Drawing face in three different angles (front view, three quarter view and side view) as well as coloring and shadowing t
echniques.
Session 3: practicing 3 different poses such as walking pose, hand on waist pose and casual pose with different body coloring and hairstyles.
Session 4: practicing 2 different poses such as profile view and walking side view with different body coloring and hairstyles.
OUTFIT COURSE:
Lesson 1: learning how to draw a light color outfit by drawing an outfit from LaPionte fall 2019.
Lesson 2: practicing a leather suit by drawing an outfit from Alberta Ferretti fall 2021.
Lesson 3: practicing a see-through dress by drawing an outfit from Valentino sprong 2021.
Lesson 4: practicing fur and feather fabric by drawing an outfit from RalphLauren Fall 2014.
Lesson 5 : learning how to draw patterns by drawing an outfit from Azfactory spring 2022.
Suggested materials:
Watercolor paper preferably 250-300gr (Hahnemuhle is recommended)
At least two brushes with number 0 and 2 (DaVinci is recommended)
Watercolor with at least 6-12 colors (Rembrandt or Winsor are recommended)
Mechanical pencil 0.3 or 0.5 (Graphgear 500 or Muji are recommended)
Pigment liner (Micron 01 or 03 is recommended)

This course is completely designed for beginners. it starts from the very beginning and step by step you become better.

Hello! I’m not English speaker (I’m afraid that I couldn’t understand some of phrases or words). But you course is very interesting. Did you use advance level vocabulary or it will be clear for people with lower level of English?
Hello dear, the lessons are in very easy english level and as the explanations are while drawing so i think it would be easy to follow.

of course having the drawing skill is very very important and based on my own experience I can tell you that it can be a very good step to start your journey in fashion design. of course you need so many other skills to be a fashion designer, but drawing is one of the most important one.
