Womenswear Watercolour Fashion Illustration Course – Beginner Level

Are you interested in fashion drawing and you don’t have any experience? You want to enter the world of fashion illustration and bring your ideas as a designer on paper? This course is for you!

By joining this course, you will have access to 8 video lessons including 4 sessions of body drawing and 4 sessions of outfit illustration.

• Fashion design students who want to improve their drawing skills to bring their designs on paper

What will you learn?

Throughout this course, you will learn:

• The correct proportions of body, face, hands and hairstyles
• How to draw different poses such as walking, profile view, etc.
• The essential colouring techniques of skin using watercolour
• Illustration of swimsuits and underwear
• Illustration of different fabrics, such as leather, satin, denim, fur, etc.
• Illustration of accessories such as bags, boots, sandals, etc.
• Drawing full looks of designer fashion shows, namely Valentino, Stella McCartney, etc.

What do you learn in each of the 8 lessons?

The duration of each lesson is around 45-90 minutes, consisting of:

What materials do you need for the course?

• Watercolour paper preferably 250-300gr (“Arches- hot pressed” is recommended, size A4)
• At least three brushes with number 4, 8 and 12 (“Van Gogh” is recommended) 
• Watercolour with at least 6-12 colours (“Rembrandt” or “Winsor&Newton” are recommended)
• Mechanical pencil 0.3 or 0.5 (“Graphgear” 500 or “Muji” are recommended)

As a fashion illustrator, you can take part in a wide range of professional activities, including:

• Working alongside fashion designers to visualise their design ideas prior to production
• Producing high quality fashion illustration content for brands

Do you receive support and feedback throughout the course?

Yes! If you are interested in having a full review session, you can add it to your order for an extra €50. In that case, after successfully finishing the course, you can request a 1 to 1 meeting with the instructor who will go through all your works and provide feedback for further improvements. This private session will take place at the END of the course to make sure you have passed all sessions.

Do you receive a certificate?

Yes! Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance ONLY if you have registered for a private feedback session with the instructor.
